Before using Email DLP rules to monitor or block cloud native email processed by Cisco's Secure Email Threat Defense, you must first integrate Email Threat Defense with Secure Access DLP, following the procedure below.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Generate an API key with the "DLP as A Service" scope. For detailed instructions, see Add Secure Access API Keys.

  2. Use the generated credentials to enable DLP in Secure Email Threat Defense. For details see Enable DLP in the Email Threat Defense documentation.

You may now create Email DLP rules as described in Add an Email Rule to the Data Loss Prevention Policy.
