Describes how to configure IGP simulation settings to control route redistribution across IGP processes and manage ECMP path tie breakers.
IGP simulation configuration allows you to define how IGP processes handle route redistribution and path selection.
Procedure
| 1. | Open the plan file (refer to Open plan files). It opens in the Network Design page. |
| 2. | In the toolbar, click The Network options page opens. |
| 3. | Click the Protocols tab. |
| 4. | In the IGP section, choose the appropriate protocol from the Protocol drop-down list. |
| 5. | Click the Simulation tab. |
| 6. | Select an option for Redistribute routes across IGP process. The options include:
| 7. | The Multiple IGP ABRs option is disabled by default. This option is helpful if you want to apply tie breakers for ECMP paths based on BGP ID, IP address, and host name respectively. |
| 8. | Save the changes. |
The IGP simulation configuration is saved and applied to the network plan. The selected route redistribution method and ECMP tie breaker settings will be used for IGP simulation calculations.
