Note that this page is a supplement to the Cisco Privacy Statement. In order to understand the data collection and use practices relevant for a particular site or solution, you should read both the Cisco Privacy Statement and any applicable supplement.
The following describes our practices with respect to the Cisco WebEx Files service (the "Service").
Collection and Use of Information
The Service is a collaboration service used for storing and sharing information, documents and other content ("Files"). In order to provide this cloud-based service, your Files are stored by Cisco in one of its data centers, which may be located outside the country where the Files are uploaded, including the United States.
Along with storing your Files, our servers automatically record certain information about your use of this Service in log files in order to enable Cisco to provide and improve the Service, as well as for metric and analytic reporting purposes ("Log Files"). Such information collected includes: File owners(s), File location ("Folder"), File size, File last update – time and user, Folder last update, total storage use, Folder size/number of Files in Folders, and Folder/Files by user ID. We also record client information (e.g., OS and browser information) each time you access the Service. The content of your Files is not included in the Log Files.
While using the Service, you may provide us with the email addresses of people you want to share Files with. We will only use this information to send share invitations. We may use your email address to contact you for support purposes or to ask for your feedback on the Service.
Access to and Accuracy of Your Personal Information
You can access and update your Personal Information, including your user profile data, by accessing your profile/settings page.
Storage and Security of Personal Information
Files transferred in connection with the Service are encrypted in transit. Files stored in connection with the Service, including any download of the Files, are stored unencrypted. If you use the Service from a public computer and you do not want Files to be available to others, do not download Files on a public computer. Also, on public computers, we strongly recommend users to log-out of the Service and close the web browser when the Service is no longer in use or the computer is left unattended.
Sharing Your Personal Information
Your Personal Information and Files may be accessed by and distributed to other authorized users of the Service wherever they are located and in accordance with the associated sharing permissions that you create. This distribution of Files can happen at any time, and without your consent, at the discretion of other users of the Service. We have no control over, and are not responsible or liable for, the privacy of any Files that you have shared with others. Even after you remove information from a Folder, copies of those Files may remain viewable elsewhere to the extent it has been shared with others.
Please note that user profile data, which may include your name and email address, may be visible to other users that you choose to share Files with.
When you use the Service, you are subject to the applicable Cisco WebEx Terms of Service or Supplemental Terms, or other such terms of service from your seller, depending on how you purchased the Service.
