Configure a remote VXLAN fabric policy to provide control-plane peering through the associated border gateway set.

Use this procedure to create a policy that represents a unique remote non-ACI fabric and contains the configuration required for control-plane peering.

A remote VXLAN fabric policy contains the fabric-specific configuration for a remote non-ACI fabric. The policy provides control-plane peering through the associated border gateway set.

Procedure

1.

From the top menu bar, choose Tenants > infra > Policies > VXLAN Gateway > Remote VXLAN Fabrics.

2.

In the Remote VXLAN Fabrics work pane, choose Actions > Create Remote VXLAN Fabric.

3.

In the Name field, enter a name for the remote VXLAN fabric.

4.

In the Remote EVPN Peers section, click +, and configure the peer in the Create Remote EVPN Peer dialog box:

Note

For an infrastructure peer, enter a TTL value greater than 1.

  1. In the Peer Address field, enter the peer IP address.

Enter the loopback IP address of the remote Cisco NX-OS border gateway. Cisco ACI uses this address to establish the EVPN control-plane adjacency.

  2. Optional: In the Description field, enter a description of the remote EVPN peer.

  3. In the Remote ASN field, enter the autonomous system number of the neighboring autonomous system.

Enter a four-byte autonomous system number in asplain format from 1 through 4294967295.

  4. In the TTL field, enter the time-to-live value associated with the peer IP address.

  5. Verify that VXLAN BGW Connectivity is selected in the Peer Type field.

5.

Click OK.

6.

From the Associated Border Gateway Set drop-down list, choose an existing border gateway set. Alternatively, click + in the Associated Border Gateway Set box and choose an existing border gateway set.

7.

Click Submit.

The remote VXLAN fabric is created with the specified configuration. Control-plane peering is established through the associated border gateway set.
