Module 7: Technical Support Services Portfolio

Benefits of SMARTnet

Some of your customers may feel that it is not as important to them to have the Advance Replacement support features within SMARTnet and SMARTnet Onsite available to them. Many customers may assume that their internal resources could handle any issues that arise.

A helpful scenario to walk your customers through during these discussions is one where you help your customer “live” how their company would handle a realistic network-down situation that could occur.

Begin your scenario with some background information. Use the data on the chart below to show your customer examples of how much revenue companies can lose in each economic sector per hour of network downtime. If it helps, leave a copy of this chart with your customers – or draw it on the board.
