Module 7: Technical Support Services Portfolio

SAS and SASU Service Programs

Because many SAS and SASU contracts are lower in price than some of the other Cisco service programs that are available, many cost-conscious customers view these programs as low-cost alternatives that provide their networks with additional support and functionality while watching their limited budget as well.

This helps pave the way for additional opportunities in the future that you can use to “up-sell” your customers on other programs such as SMARTnet. For situations like these, the approach to remember is to sell your customer something small to allow them to gradually see the value in the Cisco service offering – and use the sale as a “stepping stone” that may lead to future business.
