What's New in this Release

These new features are introduced in Cisco Spaces.

Cisco Spaces: Space Utilization App

Space Utilization reports can now be shared from the dashboard with both Cisco Spaces users and external recipients.

To share a report, enter the recipient's email address and an optional message. Recipients receive an email with a report snapshot and a link to access the report. Cisco Spaces users sign in to view the report. External recipients verify access with a PIN generated during authorization.

Sender can manage shared access from the dashboard, including - approve or reject requests, revoke access, and review re-share requests when recipients share the report with others.

For more information, refer to the Share Reports section.

What's Changed in this Release

Partner Firehose

This enhancement is made in Cisco Spaces Partner Firehose.

The Partner Firehose device-level events have been enhanced to provide improved visibility for devices evaluated against exclusion filters configured in the Live Occupancy (earlier called as Right Now) App.

With this enhancement, firehose device-level events will now be generated for devices that match exclusion filters such as SSID, username pattern, or manufacturer rules. These events will include occupancyAnalytics metadata that indicates whether the device was evaluated as INCLUDE or EXCLUDE based on the Right Now App settings.

This update applies to these firehose events:

  • DEVICE_LOCATION_UPDATE

  • DEVICE_PRESENCE

  • DEVICE_ENTRY

  • DEVICE_EXIT

  • DEVICE_ASSOCIATION

Cisco Spaces Dashboard

This enhancement is made in the Cisco Spaces dashboard.

Cisco Spaces now allows the deletion of AireOS and Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controllers directly from the View Controllers page, located under:

Setup > Wireless Networks > Connect AireOS Controller/Catalyst 9800 Wireless Controller Directly

When a controller is deleted, it is automatically removed from the View Controllers page, and the corresponding controller count is updated accordingly.

Note

Before deleting a controller from Cisco Spaces, ensure that the Cisco Spaces integration is disconnected from the controller.
