What's New in this Release
There are no new features in this release of Cisco Spaces.
The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. For the purposes of this documentation set, bias-free is defined as language that does not imply discrimination based on age, disability, gender, racial identity, ethnic identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and intersectionality. Exceptions may be present in the documentation due to language that is hardcoded in the user interfaces of the product software, language used based on RFP documentation, or language that is used by a referenced third-party product. There are no new features in this release of Cisco Spaces.
The following enhancements are made in Cisco Spaces beta UI:
Cisco Spaces Dashboard
In the Home page, click a featured app card to open the overview drawer instead of launching the app directly.
OpenRoaming App
The OpenRoaming Android app is redesigned to improve user experience with these updates:
App rebranding: The OpenRoaming app is now renamed as the Cisco Spaces OpenRoaming App, reflecting expanded capabilities and a commitment to seamless connectivity.
Google Sign-In: You can now sign in quickly and securely using your Google account within the app, removing the need to remember an additional password.

Simplified experience: The user interface is cleaned up and redesigned for easier onboarding, featuring a streamlined sign-up flow, and improved navigation to help you connect faster with fewer steps.
Region update: With this enhancement, you can use the feature to switch to a different region. After you change the region, you are automatically logged out of the app. The new region update takes effect after your next login.


Dark mode: A new dark theme reduces eye strain in low-light environments and conserves battery life on supported devices.

Platform Enhancements
This release includes a persistent database system upgrade that improves Cisco Spaces performance while increasing reliability and efficiency.
