Cisco Spaces Dashboard

Error Boundary Enhancements

The Cisco Spaces Dashboard is enhanced to support a more reliable and seamless dashboard experience. These enhancements ensure smoother navigation, faster recovery, and greater confidence in using the dashboard.

  • Improve stability: When a module encounters an unexpected error, the dashboard shows a recovery screen instead of crashing the entire page.

  • Isolate errors automatically: Errors in one section, such as Maps or Smart Rooms, do not affect other sections. Only the module with the issue displays an error message.

  • Enable one-click recovery: You can retry or navigate away from a failed module without refreshing the browser.

  • Increase error visibility: The system automatically captures and logs unhandled errors and failed page loads. This helps us quickly identify and fix issues.

Zone Enhancements

Prior to this release, zone creation was supported only for 2D network maps generated directly from location data. With this release, zone creation capabilities are extended to cover 2D maps derived from rich maps.

You can now seamlessly draw and manage zone locations on these maps, ensuring consistent functionality across both network maps and CAD-derived rich maps.

Location Service

These enhancements are made in the Location Service Release 3.2.3.33.

  • Updated the formatting of FastLocate messages to ensure they are correctly captured and displayed within the MAC debug viewer.

  • Fixed encryption and decryption failures on FIPS-enabled systems, which was identified as a secondary cause for memory leaks in FastLocate messaging.

  • Enhanced TDL deletion when the controller is removed from the connector.
