Hamina Integration UI

Cisco Spaces now supports Hamina integration in Locations & Maps, allowing you to manage indoor mapping data in Hamina and bring that location hierarchy and floor information into Cisco Spaces for review and map workflow processing. This helps simplify map onboarding for organizations already using Hamina, while keeping validation and map handling aligned with the Cisco Spaces Locations & Maps experience.

With this release, you can connect Cisco Spaces with Hamina using a token-based integration and use Hamina as a supported source for location hierarchy data. After the connection is established, imported locations and floors can be reviewed in Cisco Spaces before moving forward in the map workflow.

This update introduces these capabilities:

• Support for Hamina as a location hierarchy source in Cisco Spaces

• Token-based integration between Cisco Spaces and Hamina

• Review of Hamina-imported locations and floors within Locations & Maps

• Floor order validation before continuing map processing

After the token is configured, location and floor data imported from Hamina becomes available in Cisco Spaces for review and validation.

Captive Portal

Multi Auth feature

Cisco Spaces: Captive Portal now supports Multi Auth, allowing administrators to configure alternate authentication methods alongside a primary authentication method.

Within the portal creation workflow, administrators can select a primary authentication method and add supported alternate methods such as Access Code, Social Sign-In, SMS with link verification, and SMS with password verification.

This enhancement provides greater flexibility to support different visitor types and access requirements within a single guest Wi-Fi experience. Administrators can also reorder authentication methods to control how they are presented to end users.

Data Capture: Custom Fields

The Data Capture workflow now supports custom fields, enabling administrators to collect additional visitor information based on business-specific requirements.

Administrators can configure up to three custom fields per captive portal. Supported field types include Plain Text, Radio Button, Check Box, Dropdown, and Date Picker.

This enhancement allows organizations to tailor visitor data collection beyond the standard fields available in the Captive Portal onboarding flow.

API Behavior

• GET /filters returns the effective event type scope for each filter.

• DELETE /filters clears configured filters and resets event type scopes back to default behavior.

Bulk Credential Update for Wireless Controllers and Switches

This enhancement is made in Cisco Spaces.

Cisco Spaces now supports bulk credential updates for Wireless Controllers and Switches from the Cisco Spaces > Setup section. Administrators can select an existing username, review the associated devices, and update credentials for multiple devices in a single operation.

This enhancement supports SSH and NETCONF credentials for Wireless Controllers and NETCONF credentials for Switches, simplifying credential rotation and reducing configuration inconsistencies.
