OpenRoaming

This release introduces two key enhancements to the Hotspot Client, focusing on improved logging capabilities and enhanced security.

Hotspot client versions: 3.1.0.179, 3.2.3.42

Syslog Support

The Hotspot Client now supports forwarding system logs to a customer-configured external syslog server. This enables centralized log collection, improved visibility, and faster troubleshooting.

For detailed configuration instructions, refer to the Syslog documentation.

RadSec TLS 1.3 Support

The Hotspot Client now supports TLS 1.3 for RadSec connections, enhancing security by eliminating legacy cryptographic algorithms and reducing the overall protocol attack surface. TLS 1.3 also improves performance through faster connection establishment.

TLS 1.3 is enabled by default. You do not need to change your existing deployments; it remains fully compatible with TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.1.
