What's New in this Release

These new features are introduced in Cisco Spaces:

Captive Portals - Access Code Manager (ACM) Feature

The Cisco Spaces dashboard improves onboarding and management of trusted devices through the Access Code Manager feature. Administrators trust list devices directly from the dashboard, eliminating the need for manual controller configuration or logging into multiple systems. The dashboard supports devices that don’t use captive portal browsers, enabling secure onboarding and allowing administrators to set session duration and bandwidth limits with configurable templates.

This release ensures that onboarding templates and authentication profiles created in the dashboard are automatically interpreted and enforced by the Cisco Spaces Radius engine, maintaining consistency across your environment. You can monitor device onboarding status and policy application in real-time, allowing quick validation and troubleshooting when needed

Template management becomes streamlined as administrators create, update, and retire reusable templates, assign them by location or SSID, and maintain device associations with built-in safeguards. You provision or revoke device access as needed, aligning with guest stays or operational policies. Enhanced MAC Address validation and centralized audit features strengthen network security.

These updates make device onboarding and management more efficient and secure, supporting operational needs at scale across your Cisco Spaces deployment.

Partner Dashboard - New Event

The Cisco Spaces - Partner Dashboard ecosystem now supports Device Association event type configuration. This event is triggered when a device successfully connects to an SSID (ASSOCIATE) or disconnects from an SSID (DISASSOCIATE).

What's Changed in this Release

These enhancements are made in the Cisco Spaces beta UI:

Activation Requests - Reminder Emails

The Cisco Spaces platform now automatically sends a sequence of reminder emails if you are newly invited and have not yet activated your account. If you do not activate your account with the initial invitation, you will receive additional reminders on day 2, day 4, and day 5, so you have more opportunities to complete activation before the link expires.

Additionally, you can now request a resend of your activation link directly through the Cisco Spaces platform. Your request immediately generates and delivers a new activation email, so you do not need support assistance or manual processing.

These improvements make onboarding easier for you, provide faster responses to activation requests, and reduce support delays. With this enhancement, you receive timely reminders and can easily obtain a new activation link whenever you need, making the activation process simple.

Partner Dashboard - Cisco Magnetic Design

Cisco Spaces - Partner Dashboard user experience is enhanced by adhering to the Cisco Magnetic Design guidelines for a consistent and intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) across the Cisco Spaces - Partner Dashboard ecosystem.

The enhancements include:

  • Faster load times and smoother interactions

  • Improved usability and accessibility
