Benefits of Shared Support
A fourth benefit of the Cisco Shared Support program, is that it
enables you to utilize the Cisco parts-logistics infrastructure
to support specific products or to expand geographical reach.
Within some of the traditional partner-branded programs like SIS98,
your customers’ hardware replacement offerings were limited
in many cases, to one hardware service offering. Moving forward,
within the Cisco Shared Support program, both you and your customers
will have access to many of the Advance Replacement delivery options
mentioned earlier in this curriculum. These may include:

Advance Replacement is available to supply you and/or your customer
with equipment based on these levels of support, by utilizing a
global infrastructure of depots located in hundreds of locations
around the world. Using these depots, spares can be provided to
either you or your customers quickly, via shipment from a local
depot that is near your/their location.
Not only does access to this depot infrastructure limit the impact
that downtime can have on your customers’ business and their
end users’ satisfaction, it also provides you and your customers
with nearby access to all of the resources necessary to resolve
and hardware problems quickly and efficiently.
