The CISO Benchmark Report is based on double-blind study of 2800 global participants conducted in late 2019. The findings from this study, along with expertise from our own CISO Advisors, offer best practices, insights to breach impacts, and trends on security technologies.
The trend to reduce complexity through vendor consolidation continues, with 86% of organizations using between one and 20 vendors and 13% using over 20 vendors.
42% of respondents are suffering from cybersecurity fatigue--and working in a multivendor environment contributes to cyber fatigue.
Top security challenges include private cloud infrastructure, network infrastructure, and mobile devices.
Outsourcing has increased significantly, primarily for reasons of cost efficiency (55%) and getting more timely responses to incidents (53%).
