Displaying and Configuring BTM Cards
To display the Card Configuration dialog for this device (using the rear or front view), right-click on the card to display the card "Configure" pop-up menu, then select Configure.
Use this dialog to display BTM card characteristics, hardware, firmware, and status information. The Card Configuration dialog parameters are described in Table 4-1.

|
Identifies the type of front card. In this case, it is a BTM.

Card Y-RedStatus
|
Card Y-Redundancy status. The values can be one of: primary, secondary, null.

Number of ports on the front card.

Use this dialog to view back card characteristics, hardware, firmware, and status information. The Card Configuration dialog parameters are described in Table 4-2.

To open the Line Configuration dialog, right-click on a line (rear view) to display the "Configure" pop-up menu, then click Configure. The Physical Line Configuration dialog is displayed. From the Category pull-down menu, select one of the following options. Dialog options differ according to the interface:
The BTM Interface menu item provides several Interface dialogs:
- IGX Physical Line Configuration (This is the default dialog.)
- IGX ATM Trunk Configuration
- IGX More ATM Trunk Configuration
- ATM Trunk Real-Time Counters
- IGX Line Config (DS3 Interface)
These dialogs are described in the sections that follow.
To display and configure Physical Lines on a BTM card, select IGX: Physical Line Configuration from the Category menu. The IGX: Physical Line Configuration dialog displays as shown in Figure 4-1.

To display and configure ATM trunks on a BTM card, select ATM Trunk Configuration from the Category menu. The ATM Trunk Configuration dialog displays as shown in Figure 4-2.

To display and configure more ATM trunk parameters on a BTM card, select More ATM Trunk Configuration from the Category menu. The More ATM Trunk Configuration dialog displays as shown in Figure 4-3.

Indicates whether or not the trunk is allowed to pass synchronization signals from a clock source to another node. Choose one of the following from the popup menu: yes or no.

Stat Reserve (cps)
|
Bandwidth reserved for statistical variations in cells per second. Enter a value in the field. The default is 1000.

Loop Rcv Clock to Tx
|
Indicates whether or not to loop the clock to the transmit clock. Choose one of the following from the popup menu: yes or no.

atmTrkDerouteDelayTimer
|
Indicates how long in seconds the network will wait before rerouting connections on a failed trunk. This helps when statistical errors are occuring or when a trunk momentarily moves into a failure state then returns to normal operation. This feature is relevant when rerouting the connections is more of a disruption than the errors caused by the intermittent trunk.

Physical Link
|
Link type. Choose one of the following from the popup menu: satellite or terrestrial. The default is terrestrial. You cannot change this value after adding the trunk (ADDTRK).

To configure ATM trunk real-time counters on a BTM card, select ATM Trunk Real-Time Counters from the Category menu. The ATM Trunk Real-Time Counters dialog displays as shown in Figure 4-4.
