Configure migration of an SD-WAN fabric between Smart Account and Virtual Account instances.

Move an SD-WAN fabric and associated devices to a different Smart Account or Virtual Account.
Use this task when organizational changes require transferring fabrics between accounts to maintain accurate record-keeping and access control.

Procedure

1.

Open a Technical Assistance Center (TAC) case to request the migration.

2.

Specify the SA and VA details for both the source and destination in your TAC case.

This migration does not cause downtime.

To move the device serial numbers to the new SA or VA, use the PNP Transfer Selected button. Alternatively, you can open a TAC support case for assistance.

The function of the fabric and these configuration details do not change after the migration:

  • Organization name

  • Cisco SD-WAN Validator, Cisco SD-WAN Manager, or Cisco SD-WAN Controller DNS name

  • All current IPs assigned to all control components

  • The entire Cisco SD-WAN Manager configuration, including certificates

  • The current list of allowed IP addresses

What to do next

After the fabric migration, update the SA credentials configured in the Cisco SD-WAN Manager settings as needed.
