Explains how Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Control Components are deployed and organized in a cloud solution for fabrics with fewer than 1,500 devices.

A cloud solution architecture is a deployment model that

  • automatically provisions key SD-WAN control components in the public cloud,

  • separates resources across primary and backup regions for resilience, and

  • provides administrator access to manage and maintain the environment.

Cloud deployment details

When you choose a cloud-based subscription for your Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Control Components, we deploy, by default, one Cisco SD-WAN Manager, two Cisco SD-WAN Validators, and two Cisco SD-WAN Controllers on the public cloud, for a fabric with fewer than 1,500 devices. We then provide you with administrator access. By default, a single Cisco SD-WAN Manager, Cisco SD-WAN Validator, and Cisco SD-WAN Controller are deployed in the primary cloud region. An additional Cisco SD-WAN Validator and Cisco SD-WAN Controller are deployed in the secondary or backup region.
