Q. What happens during initial replication from the TMS to the VCS(s)?

A. The TMS Agent on the TMS contacts the TMS Agent on the VCS(s), authenticates appropriately and, when approved, begins to replicate the data from the TMS to the VCS(s).

When this is complete, the TMS Agent immediately begins a re-indexing of the database to ensure that there is no corruption in the database.

Then the TMS Diagnostics is run to ensure that all the appropriate configurations are set up and that the solution is operating correctly. No configuration is required by the administrator. The TMS Diagnostics and the diagnostics tests become an effective troubleshooting tool during initial deployment, and post deployment, in a network in which TMS Agents are running on a TMS server and on a VCS or VCS cluster.
