Q. Which versions of .NET and IIS are required for the Windows server to install TMS?

A. As part of the installation process, each version of TMS will automatically check whether the server has the correct versions of .NET and IIS installed.

  • TMS versions 12.0 and newer require .NET version 3.5.

  • TMS versions 11.5 through 11.9 require .NET v2.0

  • TMS versions 9.0 through 11.1 require .NET 1.1

If not already present on the server, .NET 3.5 must be installed prior to installing TMS version 12. The .NET 3.5 installer is located on the TMS CD.

For earlier versions, .NET 1.1 or .NET 2.0 will be installed by the TMS installer if not present.

The IIS version is linked to the Windows operating system.

  • Windows 2008 has IIS7

  • Windows 2003 has II6

  • Windows 2000 has IIS5

The TMS installer checks for the presense of IIS as part of the installation, and will automatically install IIS if it is not currently installed on the server.
