Module 6: Hardware Replacement

What Is Hardware Replacement?

In the event that a device goes down due to a hardware problem, Cisco can provide delivery of replacement hardware through a number of hardware service offerings.

Cisco offers two primary hardware replacement offerings that your customers can choose from to meet their network requirements:

  Advance Replacement
  Onsite Support

These offerings are delivered to Cisco customers through service programs (such as SMARTnet) and via some partner programs as well. For example, Advance Replacement is available through SMARTnet.

This module begins with a brief overview of these offerings. From that point, the remaining sections in this module provide additional details specific to:

The value proposition and benefits associated with Hardware Replacement.
How to manage customer expectations when discussing Hardware Replacement with them.

Note: You will learn more about SMARTnet, and partner programs in subsequent modules within this curriculum.
