Cisco IOS Software
Multicast Technologies are also important features
within Cisco IOS Software. Multicast technologies are based on the
concept of a group. An arbitrary group or host that expresses an
interest in receiving a particular data stream can do so with an
Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP).
This is important to your customer because a host must be a member
of the IGMP to receive the data stream, which will streamline any
particular data to any particular group anywhere. This maximizes
communication for your customer’s company.
