Description of the Release

Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.3JA is a specific technology early deployment release (STED) train to support and add features to Cisco Aironet hardware platforms:

  • Access Points
  • Workgroup Bridges
  • Wireless Bridges
  • WLAN management modules

Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3JA is a migration of Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2JA based upon the Cisco IOS Software 12.3T major train. Any early deployment (ED) release of software should be used in a test network before it is deployed in a production network.

 Cisco Systems, Inc. released Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3JA as an STED release targeted for Enterprise customers to enable them to deploy wireless LAN technology. New hardware and software features pertaining to 802.11 based wireless standards are supported in Cisco IOS Software Release 12.3JA software releases.
