On February 9, 2024, Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life for standalone Cisco SD-AVC. Cisco SD-AVC functionality is incorporated into Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN and Cisco Catalyst Center. We recommend migrating to one of these solutions.


Introduction

This product bulletin describes the release and support guidelines for Cisco SD-AVC.

Cisco SD-AVC software follows a time-based release model that delivers maintenance and feature releases. This approach enables Cisco to introduce stable and feature rich software releases in a reliable and predictable cadence.

The information contained in this document is informational only and is subject to change. Cisco recommends that you periodically check here to ensure you are reviewing the most current version of this document.

SD-AVC Software Release Delivery

Cisco is introducing an updated software release delivery model and specific EOL guidelines starting with the Cisco SD-AVC Release 4.0.0 software release.

Release Support Timeline

The last date to download through the Cisco software download page, given that a newer version exists. After this date, the product is no longer available for download.

Six (6) months from GA date, given that a newer version exists.

End of Software Maintenance

The last date that Cisco Engineering releases software maintenance releases or bug fixes.

After this date, Cisco Engineering will no longer develop, repair, maintain, or test the product software for the version A.B.C.

Nine (9) months after End of Download date (15 months after GA).

Last Day of Support

The last date to receive applicable service and support for the product as entitled by active service contracts or by warranty terms and conditions.

After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.

Three (3) months after Software Maintenance date (18 months after GA).
