Software Deferral Notice

Dear Cisco Customer,

A software issue has been identified with Cisco APIC releases 2.2(2i) and 2.3(1e) and Cisco NX-OS releases 12.2(2i) and 12.3(1e) that might affect your use of this software. As a result, these releases have been deferred. The deferred images are no longer available for download. You are urged to move to Cisco APIC Releases 2.2(2j) or 2.3(1f) and Cisco NX-OS releases 12.2(1f) or 12.3(1f), as appropriate. See the Software Affected/Solution table that follows for the list of affected images and solution images.

Reason for Deferral

DDTS No(s):  CSCve76599

IO FPGA failed for all fabric switches after policy upgrade.

Problem Description

IOFPGA upgrade error messages are seen on console during node bootup.

Cause

IOFPGA upgrade failed during switch image upgrade process.

Workaround

No workaround.

Disclaimer

In order to increase network availability, Cisco recommends that you upgrade affected images with the suggested replacement software images. Cisco will discontinue manufacturing shipment of affected images. Any pending order will be substituted by the replacement software images.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT FAILURE TO UPGRADE THE AFFECTED SOFTWARE MAY RESULT IN NETWORK DOWNTIME.

The terms and conditions that governed your rights and obligations and those of Cisco, with respect to the deferred software will apply to the replacement software.
