Use this procedure to verify that Cisco NCS 1001 hardware components are installed, visible, and operating in the expected state.
Confirm that the Cisco NCS 1001 hardware and software components are operational and properly installed.
Use Cisco IOS XR EXEC mode and System Admin EXEC mode to verify that the system displays the expected components and that the states are operational.
Before you begin
Ensure that all required hardware components are installed on Cisco NCS 1001. For installation details, see Cisco Network Convergence System 1001 Hardware Installation Guide.
Procedure
| 1. | Enter the show platform command to display the Cisco IOS XR platform state. Example:
The output must show Cisco IOS XR in the IOS XR RUN state and installed components in the OPERATIONAL state. |

| 2. | Enter the admin command to enter the System Admin EXEC mode. Example:

| 3. | Enter the show platform to information and status for each node in the system. Example:
Verify that all components of the NCS 1001 are displayed in the result. The software state and the hardware state must be in the OPERATIONAL state. The various hardware and software states are: Hardware states:

| 4. | Enter the show platform detail command to display the hardware and software states, and other details of the node. Example:

| 5. | Enter the show inventory command to display the details of the physical entities of the NCS 1001 when you execute this command in the Cisco IOS XR EXEC mode. Example:

All installed Cisco NCS 1001 hardware components are visible and display expected operational states.
