This section explains how preliminary checks verify the default Cisco NCS 1001 setup after login and help prevent configuration issues.
A preliminary check is a post-login verification task that
-
confirms that hardware, software, firmware, and inventory information is available,
-
verifies that management, alarm, and environmental status values are as expected, and
-
helps identify setup issues that require corrective action before further configuration.
Run preliminary checks immediately after you log in to the console. If any setup issue is detected, take corrective action before proceeding with further system configuration.
The output of the examples in the procedures is not from the latest software release. The output will change for any explicit references to the current release.
