Access the tool via http://www.cisco.com/go/quotecollab.
The Quote Collab tool is used
during the pre-sales process before completion and validation of Bill of Materials in Cisco
Commerce Workspace. Quote Collab is designed for 500-20K user deployments based on BE7K. This
tool will:
- Assist the user with selection of Endpoints, Clients and Conference Room systems.
- Assist the user with determining Cisco License requirements.
- Help to determine the number of servers needed for Cisco Collaboration applications.
- Recommend the deployment of virtualized Cisco Collaboration on Cisco servers.
- Build a Bill of Materials for the configured solution.
- Export the Bill of Materials to Cisco Commerce Workspace for completion and validation.

- Replace Spec-Based Servers with Custom Servers (aka "Build My Own"). To create a Custom
Server, go to the Server Tab and then click on "Add a Custom Server" within the "Build My
Own" category.
- Custom Servers can be set as "Fixed" or "Dynamic".
- "Fixed" allows users to alter their requirements as changes are needed.
- "Dynamic" allows users to start adding VMs to the server without any preset
specifications.
- Custom Servers templates may be altered from within the Servers: Build My Own
category.
- Custom Servers that have been added to a VM Layout may be altered by clicking on the
server's 3-dots (right corner of server) and selecting "Edit Server".
- Note that Custom Servers will not be represented in the Estimate.
- All other servers, such as TRCs, may be converted to a Custom Server. In the 3-dots for the
server, you'll see a new option called "Convert to Build my Own".
- Once this has been selected, you may edit the server's specifications by again
clicking on the server's 3-dots and selecting "Edit".
- Support "Base Frequency" for Servers and VMs.
- Expand VMs to include minimum specification requirements.
- Download Estimate in Excel. Look for a new icon towards the upper right corner on the
Estimate tab.
- EOSupport Product Versions have been removed from the product's dropdown list. These VMs
will not be imported from VMPT.

- Users may now include requirements within "More Options" for User Profiles.

Updated the following:
- From the Quote Collab home page, you will be able to import multiple solutions from
VMPT at once either by name or date range.
- Located with the Server Only section of the home page. Labeled "Import from
VMPT".
- Each of the imported VMPT solutions will be located within My Solutions and
under the same file name as is in VMPT.
- If you modify a solution in VMPT, Quote Collab will not be automatically
updated.
- We recommend importing no more than 20 solutions at a time to avoid long
processing time, or worse, processing failure.
- Some devices were set to require Webex Conferencing when Cisco Meeting Server (CMS)
was selected and supported by device. This has been corrected.
- Sites tab: Add Custom Gateway Configurations.
- Limited to 1 instance of Custom Configuration per site. Each Custom
Configuration may support multiple gateways within.
- Just be sure to mark the Custom Gateway's "Include this Design in the Bill
of Material" or the Recommended Configuration will be used.
- Ability to move Gateways up or down within a list of multiply gateways.
- Known Issue: You may experience issues when importing a customized gateway
configuration to CCW. We are working towards resolving this issue.
- Server Tab
- Save the VM layout (order) within each Server. This order will be used
within the Summary and PDF.
- Summary: The feedback prompt no longer automatically loads when you go to the
Summary tab. The Feedback form is still accessible from the
, last icon in menu bar. We would still love to hear from you!

- Gateways: FXS cards were missing 1 FXS when the quantity of FXS needed was an odd
number. This has been corrected.
- Components: Corrected to prevent Cisco Meeting Manager from being added to
Components without Cisco Meeting Server.
- Estimate: Corrected the quantity of stand alone accessories. Some were incorrectly
listed with a quantity of 1.
- Estimate: In some cases, "Average Discount" had an incorrect amount within the
Estimate Total section.
- CCW: Gateways were requiring manual entry of low-level PVDM PIDs within CCW. They
are now getting exported to CCW correctly.
- Summary:VM Layout now includes End of Sale Servers when all servers are EOS.
- PPT: VM layout images were sometimes not correctly formatted. That has been
corrected.
