Collect logs from the CV SRA agent app running on a Cisco IE switch and transfer them to your local system for analysis or TAC support.
Use this procedure when troubleshooting CV SRA agent app issues or when Cisco TAC requests diagnostic logs.
Procedure
-
Connect to the Cisco IE switch using SSH from your machine by running the following command in the terminal:
Example:
ssh admin@<switch-ip>
-
Verify the CV SRA agent app is running by executing the following command in the CLI:
Example:
show app-hosting list
-
Identify the agent application ID in the command output and use it in the following commands. Confirm that the application shows the state as RUNNING . If the app is not running, start it with the following command:
Example:
app-hosting start appid <app-id>
-
Copy the CV SRA agent app logs to the switch’s bootflash by running:
Example:
app-hosting copy appid <app-id> src /iox_data/logs/stdout.log dest bootflash:stdout.log
-
(Optional) Verify the file is present in bootflash by running:
Example:
dir bootflash: | include stdout.log
-
Transfer the stdout.log file to your machine by running the following command from the device's terminal:
Example:
scp admin@<switch-ip>:/bootflash/stdout.log ~/Downloads/
Optionally, confirm the transfer completed by running:
ls -lh ~/Downloads/stdout.log
-
(Optional) Collect IOx trace logs if requested by Cisco TAC by running:
Example:
app-hosting move appid <app-id> log to bootflash:
The CLI will provide the generated log file path.
Example:
/flash/ioxapplogs/iox_<ID>.bin.gz
-
Transfer the trace log to your machine by running:
Example:
scp admin@<switch-ip>:/flash/ioxapplogs/iox_<ID>.bin.gz ~/Downloads/
-
(Optional) Verify the file on your machine by running:
Example:
ls -lh ~/Downloads/iox_<ID>.bin.gz
Log files from the CV SRA agent app are saved on your machine, ready for analysis or to be shared with Cisco TAC for troubleshooting.
