Service Parameters Overview
Each Unified Communications Manager node has a list of services that are available to that node. The active services depend on whether the node is a publisher node or a subscriber node, as well as the features that you choose to configure.
There are feature services and network services. Some of those are cluster-wide and apply to all nodes within the cluster. Most services have parameters. We recommend that you keep the default service parameter settings unless your specific deployment requires a change.
Feature services can be activated in the Service Activation window of Cisco Unified Serviceability. However, network services are active by default and are required for basic functionality. If you need to stop and start a network service for troubleshooting purposes, you must use the Control Center - Network Services window in Cisco Unified Serviceability.
You can view the status of services using Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration or Cisco Unified Serviceability. To view service parameter settings and service parameter descriptions, use Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration.
