Reset To Install

Cisco NCS 2000 Release 26.1.1

The new Reset To Install feature enhances the existing Reset To Factory Default feature. It allows you to reset and reconfigure an SVO card without requiring a full factory reset.

This feature preserves your currently running and previously downloaded software images, helping you resolve networking or installation issues while minimizing downtime and eliminating the need to re-download or reinstall software.

Before you begin

Log in to the admin plane

Procedure

1.

Click Tools in the left panel and select Utilities.

The Utilities page appears.

Perform one of the following steps:

  • Click Reset to Factory Default to reset the SVO card to the factory defaults.
    Caution

    All the instances and configurations available on the SVO card are erased.

  • Click Restart Admin Plane to restart the admin plane.
    Caution

    Restarting admin plane may interrupt any running procedure.

  • Click Reset To Install to reset or reconfigure an installed SVO card. This preserves the latest running software image and retains all installed software images in both the software directory and docker repositories.

A Warning! dialog box appears.
3.

Click Confirm.

The selected operation starts.
