Before you begin

You must have SUPER-ADMIN-ROLE permissions to perform this procedure.

By default, the Rogue Management and aWIPS application is not installed on Catalyst Center. You must manually install the Rogue and aWIPS application package separately.

You need a DNA Essentials license for Rogue Management, and a DNA Advantage license for aWIPS.

Perform the application management procedure from the Software Management window.

  1. Install Catalyst Center. For more information, see the Cisco Catalyst Center Installation Guide.

  2. Review the software requirements described in the release notes.

Procedure

1.

From the main menu, choose System > Software Management.

Scroll to the Available Applications for 2.3.x.x-xxxxx area and select Rogue And AWIPS.

Click Install.

After installing the package, enable the Rogue Management application.

  1. From the main menu, choose Assurance > Rogue and aWIPS.

  2. On the Overview dashboard, choose Rogue from the Actions drop-down list. Click Enable.

  3. On the Overview dashboard, choose aWIPS from the Actions drop-down list. Click Enable.

This enables rogue and aWIPS detection on the Cisco Wireless Controller and the Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series Wireless Controller devices.
