Add Custom Services on RV180 and RV180W
Custom service configuration allows creation of custom services against which firewall rules can be defined. Once a new custom service is created, it appears in the list of available services. The objective of this document is to show how to create a custom service on RV180 and RV180W.

Add a custom service on RV120W
Step 1. Access the RV180 / RV180W through web-based utility and then choose Firewall> Advance Settings> Custom Services.
Step 2. Click Add to create a new custom service.
Step 3. Enter a service name for identification and management purposes.
Step 4. Choose the layer 3 protocol that the service uses from the type drop-down list.
Step 5. If ICMP is chosen from type drop-down list, then ICMP Type field is enabled. The ICMP type is numeric value that can range between 0 and 40. Enter the ICMP type number in the blank field.
Step 6. If TCP or UDP is chosen from type drop-down list, then start port and finish port fields are enabled. Enter the first TCP or UDP port of range that the service uses. If it uses only one port, then start port and finish port are the same values.
Step 7. Enter the last TCP or UDP port of range that the service uses. If it uses only one port, then start port and finish port are the same values.
Step 8. If Other is chosen from type drop-down list, then protocol number field is enabled. The protocol number is a numeric value that can range between 0 to 254. Enter the protocol number in the blank field.
Step 6. Click Save to save the settings.
Edit custom service
Step 1. Check a rule in custom service table to edit the firewall service.
Step 2. Click Edit to open the Add/Edit Custom Services Configuration page to edit a selected service.
Step 3. Edit the rule and the click Save to save the settings.
