Cisco Automated Software Distribution service provides software information and download URLs to assist you in upgrading your device/application to the latest version.
On March 1, 2022, Cisco Automated Software Distribution (ASD) service will be upgraded from version 3.0 to version 4.0. As a result, selected products in the Cisco Business portfolio will no longer be able to automatically discover and apply firmware updates from cisco.com.
Affected products include:
- RV260/RV160 series - All firmware versions
- RV34x series - All firmware versions
- Cisco Business Wireless (CBW) access points - Firmware versions 10.6.1.0 and older
- Cisco Business Dashboard (CBD) 2.3.x / FindIT Network Manager 2.1.x and older
- CB Mobile App 1.1 and older
- CB Wireless App
For RV260, RV160, and RV34x series routers, the update can be performed by manually downloading the firmware from Cisco Software Download webpage and applying to the device using the web user interface. Check out How to Download and Upgrade Firmware on any Device for more information.
If you have trouble performing an automatic firmware update on your CBW gear, simply follow the steps to manually download and apply the latest firmware to CBW access points in your network. You can then set subsequent updates to be automatic! Read the article on Update Software of a Cisco Business Wireless Access Point for more details.
Update your CBD to version 2.4.0 or later. The article on Upgrade Firmware for Cisco Business Dashboard will help you through the steps.
