Existing Secure Workload deployments running on the 8RU or equivalent hardware appliance can migrate to the software appliance platform. This migration is configuration-only and requires the 8RU appliance to be upgraded to Release 4.0 first. After upgrading the 8RU cluster to 4.0, customers must use Data Backup and Restore mechanism to export the configuration and import it into the software appliance cluster, which must also run Release 4.0.
