Secure your multicloud traffic with service objects. Configure reverse/forward proxy & forwarding rules for deep packet inspection. Define L4 match criteria, set rate limits, and ensure robust protection against malicious activity.
Service objects are used to define layer 4 match criteria (destination ports, protocol) within a policy rule. They are also used to define the connection type for an incoming traffic flow. For an Egress or East-West Gateway, the connection type is either set to Forwarding or Forward Proxy.
Reverse Proxy Service Object (Ingress)
Create a reverse proxy service object for Cisco Multicloud Defense to protect incoming application traffic and route it to backend targets.
Forward Proxy Service Object (Egress / East-West)
Create a forward proxy service object for Cisco Multicloud Defense to inspect and protect outbound HTTP or TLS traffic.
Forwarding Service Object (Egress / East-West)
Create a forwarding service object for Cisco Multicloud Defense egress or east-west traffic that does not require proxying or decryption.
