Shipment Routing Configurator Tool

Overview

Cisco Shipment Routing Configurator Tool Overview

The Shipment Routing Configurator (SRC) enables you to specify your desired self-routed shipping and delivery options. Routing selections can be designated for three individual levels: standard, express, and premium. Once completed, the information is stored and reused for subsequent orders. Should changes become necessary, the SRC tool gives you full control to make them. Any changes apply to newly created orders, as well as to orders that have not reached pick-released status. The tool allows specific shipping options based on weight/carton breaks. Additionally, you can designate logistics contacts (up to 10 for each customer) and provide carrier account numbers for shipments. The tool reduces mis-assignments of carriers from Cisco’s manufacturing docks and redundant manual entry of information by providing a simplified front-end user interface for shipping and delivery options.

Flexible Configurations

The SRC tool replaces the individual order-by-order delivery instruction assignment with a simplified model focusing on reusable, default shipping instruction assignments. You can specify your preferred carrier and service levels by entering the routing data into the Shipment Routing Configurator. The tool provides additional flexibility by storing carrier preferences for up to three service levels (standard, express, and premium) and weight breaks for each desired location.

Focal Access and View Access

The tool also maintains logistics focal contact data for your company. Focals are members of your organization authorized to enter and edit shipping instructions. Although all users from your company may view the shipping preference settings, only focals will be able to edit them.

Intelligent Knowledgebase

The Shipment Routing Configurator Tool uses an intelligent knowledgebase of shipping and routing information to validate your shipping profiles and reduce the probability of routing errors.

Integration with Internet Commerce Procedures

The tool is tightly integrated with the suite of Cisco ordering solutions to provide a coherent, robust, yet simple way to manage your routing logistics.
