We invest in people and communities to help create a more connected, resilient, and thriving world.

Together, Cisco Social Impact Investments and the Cisco Foundation partner with organizations to develop and scale innovative, digital solutions that promote a healthy planet and advance the well-being of underserved communities. We offer more than funding — combining early-stage, seed-level capital with strategic guidance; Cisco and Splunk in-kind donations of security, networking, and communications technology; and our employees’ skills to help partners implement, validate, and grow their impact.

Our strategy prioritizes these four strategic areas where Cisco is uniquely positioned to drive impact:

  • Cisco Crisis Response: We help local agencies and communities prepare for, respond to, and sustainably rebuild from crises through on-the-ground connectivity, collaboration solutions, and security solutions to help deliver essential connectivity.
  • Education: We support organizations that increase access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education; literacy programs; STEM career exploration; and professional development support for teachers.
  • Economic Empowerment: We invest in solutions that support employment and career development, entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion — enabling individuals and families to thrive and contribute to community growth and economic development.
  • Climate Resilience: In 2021, the Cisco Foundation pledged US$100 million over 10 years to fund a diverse portfolio of innovative climate solutions. See our progress toward this commitment.

Cisco’s impact approach is global and deeply integrated — spanning Global Impact Grants, Regional Solutions Grants, and focused investments like our India Cash Grants program — and strengthened by the active engagement of Cisco employees who contribute their time, expertise, and resources to the causes we support.
