Cisco Crisis Response

Cisco has a proud, 20-year legacy of being a private sector leader in responding to humanitarian challenges and helping communities in crisis.

Cisco Crisis Response (CCR) leverages Cisco’s people, technology, financial resources, and strategic partnerships to help those in need — delivering secure connectivity, collaboration, and security solutions.

CCR’s four strategic pillars facilitate communication and accelerate relief efforts:

  • Incident Response: We provide funding, technology, and expertise to enable critical services during crises.
  • Technology Solutions: We provide Cisco equipment through grants or loans and in-person or remote technical support.
  • Strategic Partnerships: We work with partners — including governments, nongovernmental organizations, and emergency response partners — to drive greater impact at scale.
  • Capacity Building: We build the capacity of our CCR volunteers and response partners through training, solutions consulting, and grantmaking.

Our cash and technology donations to nonprofit organizations help provide access to critical human needs, including food, water, shelter, and disaster relief for those experiencing homelessness, mass displacement, and food and water insecurity. Cisco is an official standby partner of the UN’s Emergency Telecommunications Cluster and the UNHCR's Refugee Telecommunications Sector, committing Cisco technology, expertise, and deployment capabilities to support refugee and humanitarian crises.

CCR’s team of technical engineers, operations and logistics coordinators, and solutions architects build and maintain networks to support mission-critical humanitarian relief efforts.

  • 196 incident responses in over 70 countries since 2014
