High-availability server operations

This chapter explains how to identify the active and standby servers and perform HA server operations in Cisco Optical Site Manager.

HA Servers view

For NCS 1000, the HA Servers view shows server status and provides controls to restart the application or switch the active and standby roles.

Cisco NCS 1000 Release 26.1.1

You can now view the roles of Cisco Optical Site Manager HA devices and see the host devices configured in HA mode, displaying the active or standby status of each device from the HA view page.

Field

Description

Fetched at

Shows when the page data was last refreshed.

Server table

Lists each server with its container name, host name, host IP address, role, and uptime.

Container Name

Shows the Cisco Optical Site Manager HA group or container name.

Host Name

Shows the server host name for each HA node.

Host IP Address

Shows the management IP address of each HA server.

Role

Shows whether the server is currently active or standby.

Uptime

Shows how long the application has been running on each server.
