CISCO 7200 DC (24V-60V) POWER SUPPLY OPTION |
The new power supply for the Cisco 7200 (PWR-7200-DC+) is not recognized in versions of Cisco IOS® software released before the power supply.
In order to recognize the type of power supply in a Cisco 7200 router, Cisco IOS software looks for an identification voltage from the power supply. It then compares that voltage with products it knows to exist. If the voltage is not recognized, Cisco IOS software will indicate that the power supply slot is empty.
Since the PWR-7200-DC+ was not known to Cisco IOS software versions prior to the product's release, it will report that the power supply slot is empty when a PWR-7200-DC+ is installed.
The power supply slot will show empty when a show environment all command is issued.
