Cisco announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco IP Phone 7841 and 7861. The last day to order the affected product(s) is January 23, 2027. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 of the EoL bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product(s). Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement. For customers with active and paid service and support contracts, support will be available under the terms and conditions of customers' service contract.

The Cisco IP Phone 7841 and 7861 are superseded by the Cisco Desk Phone 9841 and 9851, respectively. Customers who need additional line keys on the 9851 may order the Cisco Desk Phone 9800 Key Expansion Module (KEM) separately. The Desk Phone 9800 series support power over ethernet (PoE) and do not have power supply bundles. Region-specific power supplies can be ordered separately. Customers may be able to use the Cisco Takeback and Reuse Program where applicable to return hardware that has reached end-of-use, at no cost.
