Cisco Systems announces the end of life of the Cisco Packet Data Serving Node (PDSN)/Home Agent (HA) Release 1.0.2 (R1.0.2) and 1.1(R1.1). R1.0.2 corresponds to any Cisco IOSĀ® Software Release 12.2(1a)XC or 12.2(1a)XCx images; R1.1 corresponds to any Cisco IOS Release 12.2(2)XC or 12.2(2)XCx images. Orderability was turned off on October 25, 2002. Existing customers with a Cisco support contract for this product will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until October 25, 2003. No new service contracts will be made available. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco PDSN/HA R1.0.2 and R1.1.
Customers should migrate to 12.2(8)ZB instead of 12.2(8)BY. R1.2 maintains all features of R1.0.2 and R1.1, offers increased performance and stability, and includes many new features and enhancements. l
Cisco Software Application Support (SAS) contracts are available for R1.2 to provide technical assistance and future software updates for this product.
Table 3 provides relevant information for customers migrating from the Cisco PDSN R1.0.2 or R1.1 to PDSN R1.2.

The recommended replacement for the Cisco PDSN R1.0.2 and R1.1 is PDSN R1.2 (Table 3). R1.2 offers increased performance and stability, as well as many new features and enhancements.
