IOS 12.2(5)DA Announcement (November 5, 2001)

Introduction

This product bulletin describes the new features introduced in Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.2(5)DA for the Cisco 6XXX Series IP DSL Switches. It should be used in conjunction with Product Bulletin titled, "Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2 Features", located at

New Features

The following key features are supported with 12.2(5)DA:

•The 6015 IP DSL Switch and octal-port DMT (8xDMT) line card in an outside plant (OSP) environment, supporting up to 48 subscribers per chassis in remote cabinets, smaller COs, and Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) sites.

•The octal Port DMT ADSL over ISDN line card, providing higher port density in the Cisco 6015 and Cisco 6260.

•The CNS Configuration Agent feature, supporting routing devices by providing:

•Initial configurations

•Incremental (partial) configurations

•Synchronized configuration updates

•An optional string parameter in atm pvc command

•Provisional tagging indication in ATM signaling for SoftVCs
