Notification of End of Support for ICM Release 2.5 and End of Engineering for ICM Release 3.0.x and 4.0.x
This product bulletin serves as the formal notification of:
1. End of Support for Cisco ICM Software Release 2.5 and,
2. End of Engineering for Cisco ICM Software Release 3.0.x and 4.0.x
Official Notification of End of Support for ICM 2.5
This announcement is formal notification for End of Support (EOSu) for Cisco ICM Release 2.5 effective February 28, 2003.
EOSu indicates the termination of all Cisco support services including: Cisco TAC support, workarounds, hot fixes, etc. that relate to the identified release, for this announcement ICM Release 2.5 is the impacted release. As of February 28, 2003, customers inquiring regarding support for ICM Release 2.5, either the ICM central controller or an ICM component1, will be directed to upgrade to the latest version of ICM.
Customers running fully licensed ICM Release 2.5 will have until February 28, 2003 to upgrade to the latest ICM Release. Upgrading by February 28, 2003 will ensure uninterrupted support for ICM.
Official Notification of End of Engineering for ICM 3.0.x and 4.0.x
This announcement is formal notification for End of Engineering (EOE) for Cisco ICM Release 3.0.x and 4.0.x effective February 28, 2003.
EOE indicates that Cisco will no longer provide hot fixes for the identified release, for this announcement ICM Releases 3.0.x and 4.0.x are the impacted releases. As of February 28, 2003, if a customer raises an issue, which cannot be resolved with a workaround and requires a hot fix, they will be directed to upgrade to the latest version of ICM.
Customers running the ICM central controller with an ICM component on Release 3.0.x and/or 4.0.x will be required to upgrade both the ICM central controller and the ICM component to the latest ICM Release. Customers currently running a supported version of ICM central controller (4.1.x, 4.5.x, 4.6.1), in conjunction with a release of ICM that has reached EOSu or EOE (ICM 2.5, ICM 3.0.x and ICM 4.0.x), will be required to upgrade the EOSu or EOE ICM component to a currently supported ICM Release2.
Customers running fully licensed ICM Release versions 3.0 x or 4.0 x will have until February 28, 2003 to upgrade to the latest ICM Release. Upgrading by February 28, 2003 will ensure uninterrupted engineering support for ICM.
Note EOE does not indicate EOSu. Cisco will continue to provide support for ICM Release 3.0.x and 4.0.x after the effective EOE date of February 28, 2003. A subsequent EOSu notification will be provided as each release reaches this milestone.
This EOE is also formal notification that part numbers relating to ICM 3.0.x and ICM 4.0.x will no longer be orderable from Cisco effective immediately. For a list of part numbers affected by this EOE announcement, refer to the Appendix.
ICM Upgrade Path
Customers are recommended to upgrade to the latest supported version of Cisco ICM software.
When upgrading to a currently supported release, certain third party software may be impacted, hardware platforms may no longer be supported, or there may be may be changes to memory/CPU requirements.

Note ICS-23110 is a no-cost WebView Server option for System Manager AW. This is required in order to add WebView Connection Licenses (ICS-23200-L) to an AW.
