CiscoWorks 1105 Hosting Solution Engine
Promotional Price ReductionCisco Systems® is pleased to announce the availability of the CiscoWorks 1105 Hosting Solution Engine (HSE) at a promotional price for a 6-month period. The CiscoWorks HSE supports a wide range of content networking products, including the Cisco® CSS 11501, 11503, and 11506 content services switches, and its Secure Sockets Layer Module, the Cisco Catalyst® 6500 SSL Services Module, the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Content Switching Module Cisco LocalDirector 400 Series, as well as many other Cisco switches and routers. Customers with small data-center applications may also find the CiscoWorks HSE an affordable addition to the recently introduced Cisco CSS 11501.
CiscoWorks 1105 HSE is a ready-to-use network management appliance that proactively manages the availability of data-center network infrastructure and Layer 4-7 network services through common authentication modules such as Terminal Access Controller Access Control System Plus (TACACS+) and Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS). Authorized users can monitor, activate, and configure Layer 4-7 services remotely, even through firewalls.
The CiscoWorks HSE provides the following features:

New features of the CiscoWorks 1105 Hosting Solution Engine 1.7 include support for the Cisco Catalyst 6000 Series Switch with SSL Module and the Cisco Content Services Switch that provides monitoring and reporting of SSL Proxy service such as detailed view of the SSL Proxy server list and SSL statistics
Availability
Customers who want to purchase CiscoWorks Hosting Solution Engine at the promotional price can place orders through their normal sales channels beginning March 1, 2003.
Ordering Information
Table 1 provides the part numbers to use to order the current CiscoWorks 1105 HSE. The HSE includes strong encryption technology, which is restricted for some types of U.S. export.

Promotional price includes CiscoWorks 1105 Hosting Solution Engine 1.5 (customers can go to the Cisco.com Software Center for the CiscoWorks 1105 Hosting Solution Engine 1.7 update). This is a 6-month promotion only.
SAS service contract for the software component of the CiscoWorks 1105 Hosting Solution Engine 1.5 provides Technical Assistance Center (TAC) support, Cisco.com Software Center access, and maintenance updates.
8x5xNBD service contract for the hardware component of the CiscoWorks 1105 Hosting Solution Engine 1.x provides TAC support, Cisco.com access, and hardware parts replacement.

Products Affected
With the availability of the CiscoWorks Hosting Solution Engine 1.5, Cisco is announcing the end-of-sale for the CiscoWorks 1105 Hosting Solution Engine 1.3. Extended support contracts will continue to be offered for earlier versions, as indicated in Table 2.
