End-of-Sale for CiscoWorks Blue Internetwork Performance Monitor Version 1.0 for Sun Solaris
Cisco Systems announces the end of sale for CiscoWorks Blue Internetwork Performance Monitor (IPM) Version 1.0 for Sun. These products are replaced by IPM Version 2.0 for Solaris. The following information and schedule apply to the Sun Solaris versions of the product only.Products Affected
IPM licensing has changed for IPM 2.0. IPM 1.0 was licensed by the number of routers in the network. The "Small" product was licensed for up to 100 routers. The "Medium" product was licensed for between 100 and 500 routers. The "Large" product was licensed for more than 500 routers. IPM 2.0 is licensed by the number of managed network connections (collectors) configured on each IPM 2.0 server, as shown in Table 1.
Schedule
CiscoWorks Blue IPM 1.0 for Sun was no longer orderable as of February 15, 1999. The product's end of life is scheduled for March 15, 1999.Conversion Policy
Because all features found in the discontinued products are also in the newly released products, all orders received for Sun Solaris versions of IPM will be converted to the new products effective February 15, 1999. Converted orders will ship as currently scheduled by March 15, 1999.Table 2 lists the product numbers affected.
