This section describes the new and changed features in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Release 8.5(1):
•
Agent Greeting—Enables Cisco JTAPI to instruct the Cisco Unified Communications Manager to automatically play a pre-recorded announcement following a successful media connection to the agent device. For more information, see "Agent Greeting" section on page 3-1.
•
API for Exposing Built-In-Bridge (BIB) Status—Enables Cisco JTAPI to determine if the built-in-bridge capability is enabled on the terminal or not. For more information, see "API for Exposing Built-In-Bridge Status" section on page 3-3.
•
Play Zip Tone—Allows Cisco JTAPI to play zip tones on active calls. For more information, see "Play Zip Tone" section on page 3-82.
•
Single Sign-On—Allows Cisco JTAPI to use a single sign-on ticket to authenticate instead of a user ID and password. For more information, see "Single Sign-On" section on page 3-110.
•
SIP Trunk Early Offer—Allows the SIP trunk to support early offer outbound calls without using the Media Termination Point (MTP). For more information, see "Support for VMware" section on page 3-124.

Note
For the features, Join Across Lines, Do Not Disturb-Reject, and Calling Party Normalization, each Cisco JTAPI must be upgraded to a version that supports these features. Additionally, if you are upgrading from Release 5.1 and you use Join Across Lines, the Conference Chaining feature must not be enabled or used until all applications are either upgraded to a version compatible with the new unified CM version. Also, you should verify that the applications are not impacted by the Conference Chaining feature.
