SOFTWARE DEFERRAL ADVISORY NOTICE
Dear Cisco Customer,
Cisco engineering has identified a software issue with Cisco NX-OS Release 5.0(3)N1(1a) that may affect your use of this software. As a result, the kickstart and system images of Cisco NX-OS Release 5.0(3)N1(1a) have been deferred. These deferred images are no longer available for download. Customers are urged to upgrade to new Cisco NX-OS Release 5.0(3)N1(1b) images. See the Software Affected/Solution table that follows for the list of affected images and solution images.

Headline: A Nexus 5000 Series switch running NX-OS Release 5.0(3)N1(1a) with an N5K-M1060 FC expansion module installed and FCOE is enabled, might fail when issuing the show queuing interface or show queuing interface fcx/y commands.

This error has been fixed in n5000-uk9.5.0.3.N1.1b. This code has been posted on CCO since April 6, 2011.
Workaround:
To prevent the error, upgrade to Cisco NX-OS Release 5.0(3)N1(1b) (n5000-uk9.5.0.3.N1.1b) or any subsequent software release.
If you do not upgrade, do not issue above commands; use the show queuing interface Ethernet 1/x command instead.

Headline: An N5K-C5548UP-SUP switch shuts down due to temperature exceeding major threshold.
Description: A Cisco Nexus 5548UP switch running Cisco NX-OS Release 5.0(3)N1(1a) or an earlier release, may shutdown because of a temperature exceeding major threshold even though the show environment temperature command switch output shows there are no temperature alarms and the temperature is within major and minor thresholds.
Workaround:
To prevent the error, upgrade to Cisco NX-OS Release 5.0(3)N1(1b) (n5000-uk9.5.0.3.N1.1b) or any subsequent software release.
