Describes the verification steps to view the mode and the Day 0 configuration status of an Cisco Catalyst 8000V instance.
To verify whether you’ve deployed or upgraded to the IOS XE 17.4 or later releases successfully, perform the steps in this task.
Procedure
Log in to the CLI and run the show version command.
The command displays the version of your instance. The operating device-mode parameter displays the mode in which your Cisco Catalyst 8000V instance is running.
This is a sample configuration of an instance running in autonomous mode.
Example:
Device# show version | inc operating

Device# show platform software device-mode
