Use these guidelines to operate the Cisco SFP28 optical modules in the 88-LC1-48Y8H-EM line card:

The SFP28 modules can operate in the following SFP ports (top row of the front panel) without any exclusive port-range configuration.
- Port 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 34, 37, 40, 43, 46, 49, 52 and 55.
The SFP28 modules can operate in the following SFP ports (middle row of the front panel) by configuring the hw-module port-range start-port end-port location node-id mode 25 command with the supported port-pairs.
- Port 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 50, 53 and 56
The SFP28 modules are not supported on the following ports (bottom row of the front panel). These ports are disabled when the port-range configuration is committed, on a given port-pair
- Port 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 36, 39, 42, 45, 48, 51, 54 and 57

Note

Use the following command to configure the port-range in order to support the SFP28 modules:

hw-module port-range start-port end-port location node-id mode 25

When this command is applied to a supported port pair:

The start-port is enabled for 25/10/1 GbE operations.

The end-port in the pair is disabled.
